The fire quickly spread to the two factories next door, causing the roofs of three factories to collapse and many goods and equipment to burn. After more than an hour of fighting, the fire department completely extinguished the fire, avoiding the danger that endangered the residential area. According to preliminary estimates, the fire caused at least one million yuan in losses. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The Fire Furniture Factory is located in the residential area of ​​Fangbang Village, Huangqiao Street, Xiangcheng District. At about 1pm on the 2nd, when the reporter rushed to the scene, most of the open fire was basically controlled by the firefighters, but there was still a lot of thick smoke rising. The reporter saw that the small business buildings and residential buildings in the residential area were mixed. The furniture factory that is on fire is located on the west side of the road in the middle of the village. The south and west sides are close to the houses, and the north side is connected with two small enterprise workshops, a sheet metal factory and a furniture factory. The workshop of the fire furniture factory was burnt down, and the roof of the sheet metal factory was also burned down. Most of the two 3 factories were only part of the steel frame hanging on the roof, which was dangerous.
A fire fighter told reporters that after rushing to the scene to check on the fire, they put out their best efforts to rescue the northernmost furniture factory and control the spread of the fire to the surrounding houses. "The fire at the northernmost furniture factory at the time was not serious, and if the fire was not interrupted in time, the consequences would be disastrous."
According to Mr. Yu, a villager, the incident occurred at almost noon. At that time he was basking in the sun, and suddenly he noticed that a thick black smoke was coming out, and then he saw a few meters high flames popping up. "I hurried over and found that the furniture factory on the southernmost side was on fire." Mr. Yu said with fear, and soon the fire spread to the two factories next door, causing the three factories to burn continuously.
A villager, who asked not to be named, said that the owner of the first furniture factory that caught fire was a Jiangxi native, and it has been operating here for three or four years. According to his understanding, the cause of the fire may be the aging of the circuit. "Because the pile of wood and sponge in the factory building, as well as the finished furniture, it was all written in one stroke."
Xiao Cui, who works at the enterprise next door, told reporters that, thanks to the timely arrival of the fire truck, the fire in the northernmost furniture factory was extinguished in time. According to its inference, the losses of the three small enterprises must exceed at least 1 million.
It is understood that these three factories have not been officially resumed at the time of the incident because of the Spring Festival, so the fire did not cause casualties. After the incident, the husband and wife of the fire furniture factory have been taken to a nearby police station for investigation.
