Composition, Performance and Typical Uses of Aluminum Alloy 2011

In 2011, the alloying element was copper. It was a free-cutting alloy containing trace amounts of lead and niobium. It had high strength and good machinability, but its corrosion resistance was poor. Commonly used are bars, pipes and wires. Used to make screws and machined products that require good cutting performance.
