On the other hand, our competitors are multinational corporations that are experienced in the market economy and have strong strength. From the perspective of overall competitiveness, multinational groups are in terms of capital operation, talent reserve, technology development, enterprise management, and international market operations. They are much stronger than us. According to statistics, the world's 69,000 multinational companies account for more than 60% of world trade, accounting for 90% of global foreign direct investment, and control 70% of global intellectual property. Some economists point out that China's comparative advantage is To count the only low labor costs. Therefore, we can only do some processing and assembly at the low end of the industrial chain, and earn some hard money. However, more people of insight do not agree with this view, pointing out that we should fully understand the strengths and advantages of our competitors, but this is to know ourselves and win the enemy. Never be willing to admit defeat. Moreover, the contrast of power can be changed through subjective efforts. As far as the tool industry is concerned, our advantage is not only the low labor cost. We also have resource advantages: tungsten, molybdenum, an important alloying element of tool materials, and China's reserves rank first and second in the world. Second, the tool industry as a traditional industry, the gap between domestic and foreign is not as big as the IT industry. 1. Give full play to the advantages of resources and make it an important means to improve the competitiveness of the tool industry.

The current situation is: we have not turned the resource advantage into competitiveness. Instead, it is getting farther and farther in the wrong direction of wasting and abusing resources. E.g:

(1) China's tungsten resources rank first in the world, accounting for 35.5% of global reserves, but uncontrolled mining and low-cost exports have caused great damage to the use of resources. In 2004, the total foreign demand for tungsten was 35,000 tons, and China's export supply was 30,300 tons, accounting for 86.6% of the total demand. Authorities estimate: If exports are not restrained, our tungsten resources can only last for 22 years. The advantage will be completely lost. (2) China's tool materials, high-speed steel and hard alloy, accounted for 40% of the world's production in 2004. However, the finished products produced, sales revenue only accounts for about 10% of global tool sales revenue. It is a big gap.

It can be seen that China's entire industrial chain from minerals to finished products is a waste of valuable national resources. This is the situation that must be corrected quickly.

2. Focus on adjusting the industrial structure, improve quality and grade, and make efforts to improve the added value of products.

One of the outstanding performances of our tool industry wasting resources is the uncontrolled production of low-end products.

For example, 30% of the 78,000 tons of high-speed steel produced in 2004 is a so-called low-alloy high-speed steel that is shoddy. This year, due to the price increase of raw materials, some enterprises have an increasing trend in order to reduce costs and low-alloy steel. Another example: Of the approximately 2.5 billion high-speed steel knives produced in 2004, 2 billion are low-priced household tools that are exported at low prices. In the long run, there is no way to save resources. Where does the efficiency of the company come from? Of course, to improve product quality and grade, for each enterprise, it is necessary to proceed from its own strength and market demand, accurately positioning, to improve the actual benefits. 3, must improve the efficiency as the central goal of business activities Under the mature market economy conditions, low-efficiency or non-profit enterprises can not survive. In the above two situations, with China's deepening reforms, the market economy is becoming more and more standardized, and it is impossible to exist for a long time. Only change the concept. Only by standardizing the operation can there be hope for survival.
