India develops drones for new uses to sprinkle pepper noodles to control thugs
The British "Times" website recently published a report entitled "India will use armed drones to control the crowd" said that according to the police, India will load pepper spray on drones, making it the world's first use. Weaponized UAVs implement crowd control countries.
Police in the northern city of Lucknow have been using micro-mini-unmanned helicopters for surveillance since 2014 and are now planning to use them to deal with uncontrollable crowds when necessary.
Senior Superintendent Yashasvi Yadav said: "We have purchased 5 aerial drones with a carrying capacity of 2 kg. These drones can be used to sprinkle chili on top of uncontrollable thugs."
He also said that these armed drones, which were remotely controlled by police officers on the ground, would not be as ruthless as the police wielding batons, but could also be used to monitor criminals in Lucknow. In recent years, religious violence in Lucknow has caused several deaths, usually during the holiday season.
Yadav said that the drone has proved to be effective in maintaining law and order during the Muharam Festival (one of the Muslim religious festivals) and during the Republic Day parade in the city, so it has now found new uses for drones.
Previously, people were increasingly interested in using drones for crowd control. The Delhi police said they plan to use a drone to perform surveillance missions in the city of Derrick Puri. In October 2014, Hindus and Muslims had violent clashes during the Festival of Lights (one of the Hindu festivals).
