In the past two years, Liaoyang Petrochemical, which has a capacity of 300,000 tons of polyester per year and entered the high-end market, has successfully developed bottle-grade polyester and PETG copolyester in the early stage. The optical grade polyester film special materials industrialization project is listed as a key scientific research project, and the scientific and technical personnel are organized to compare the advanced standards of the industry, combine domestic needs, brainstorm and refine the research and development ideas and plans, and make breakthrough progress. At the same time, according to the requirements of the newly developed optical polyester chip production process, the existing 100,000 tons/year polyester production line was partially modified. After the renovation of the device at the end of October 2015, Liaoyang Petrochemical scored a number of technical conditions to produce polyester film special polyester chips, and the new products were tested to meet the needs of users.
The successful development of special polyester chips for polyester film enables Liaoyang Petrochemical to form a product layout of bottle-grade polyester, PETG copolyester and optical grade polyester film special materials “three lines†to further improve the degree of differentiation and market competitiveness.
