French company Valeo met Chinese startup Xcharge in August 2017 and quickly determined the intention of cooperation. Both companies are interested in the "vehicle to grid" function. With the support of Kaihui Innovation Fund, the two companies established a cooperation.

The technical and marketing teams of both parties are debugging Valeo chargers to integrate V2G functions. The Xcharge team from China is also responsible for developing the charging station market in China in order to adapt to such functions. As a start-up company from China, XCharge has established a good cooperative relationship with China State Grid, which can provide effective market experience for Valeo's solutions.

According to Julian Sabri, China will become the world's largest electric vehicle market. By 2025, China's electric vehicle parking lot will be able to accommodate 10 million electric vehicles.
