It is understood that with the approach of the "limitation of sulfur limit" issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), major shipping companies have developed measures to deal with it. Since the cost of low-sulfur oil is higher than that of ordinary diesel, many shipping companies have decided to share the cost with the shippers since January 2019. It is expected that a typical US$20 will be imposed per TEU.
