Decoration Required Course: Wallpapers How should we post?

The wallpaper is beautiful and durable, can be cleaned, has a long life, and has a large variety of flowers. It has become a must for many home decorations. The method and procedure for wallpapering should be carried out according to the following steps: first level the wall, putty, putty after the wall surface with sandpaper, the bottom coated with glue, play a role in moisture-proof, dense wall. Then put the cut wallpaper into the water and soak it in for about 5 minutes. Brush the special wallpaper glue. Use a scraper to hold the wallpaper against the wall. Use a rag to smooth out the air bubbles. Then paste the next wallpaper by 2 cm, and use the paper knife to cut it from top to bottom in the overlapped part. Tear off the excess paper to make the stitching seam seamless. Finally, wipe the excess glue on the seam with a wet towel. After the paper is finished, the wallpaper is tight and smooth. The person stands at a distance of 1.5 meters away from the wall. The joints should be invisible and there should be no bubble folds.

Tools: Materials:

4" big oil sweep

wallpaper

Wallpaper scraping powder (for wallpaper)

1" aluminum pressure white water

Small Knife Varnish

Wet white towel with water

practice:

First add water in a ratio of 1:10 with white water, paint the wall, remove the old paint as soon as possible before it is dry, and rejuvenate. Apply a layer of varnish to the damp walls to prevent moisture. Remember that light oil should be diluted with a 1:1 ratio of Tinner; remember to wait until it is dry before you can stick it.

Measure the size of wallpaper and reserve at least 4

Use an oil sweep to spread the paste evenly on the back of the wallpaper and apply it after about 5 minutes. Start with the middle of the wallpaper first.

Scrape from the inside out with a wallpaper to eliminate bubbles and wrinkles. Use a wet towel to wipe off the edges of the wallpaper or the paste between the wallpapers.

Carefully remove excess edges with a knife. Prepare before wallpapering

Before applying the wallpaper, make up the cracks and dents on the wall, especially for those with wall lamps. Because the wall lamp shines, the blemishes under the wallpaper will be obvious. Try to clean the room first, if possible, remove the shelf and remove the light. Spread a dust cloth on the floor and do not spread the polyethylene cloth, because one touch of water will become very slippery.

Glue on the wall

Placing a layer of glue on the wall can prevent the walls from absorbing adhesive and making the wallpaper sticky. It can also make the wall slippery, making it easy to slide the wallpaper to the correct position. What paste can be found on the wallpaper instructions.

Using an adhesive-coated brush, the slurry was evenly applied to the entire wall. If the slurry gets onto the painted wooden components, wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth or sponge, otherwise it will be hard to remove once solidified.

Modulation adhesive

Select the appropriate adhesive according to the type of wallpaper and follow the instructions.

1. Pour the required amount of cold water into the bucket first, then slowly add the required amount of binder powder and stir well until it does not cake.

2. It usually takes 15 minutes to use it after adjustment, but some are available immediately.

Cropping wallpaper

1. Take a roll of wallpaper and see the direction of the pattern to determine which direction is up.

2. From the top of the skirting board, measure the height of the wall with a steel tape measure. The height measured in different places in the same room may be different, so it is necessary to measure a few places, take the maximum, and add 4 inches as two trimmings.

3. Spread the wallpaper on the adhesive-coated table, face down, measure the length, and draw a line on the back with a pencil.

4. Cut the wallpaper along with the scissors.

5. Turn over the cut wallpaper, re-expand the rest of the wallpaper, align it with the opposite corner, and align the pattern. Take the first wallpaper as a standard and cut off the second wallpaper. Repeat the above steps to cut the next batch of wallpaper and write the pasting sequence on the back.

Coating adhesive

1. Stack the cut wallpaper on the table, face down.

2. Pull the top left of the wallpaper to the table and flatten it, and let the right end hang down from the Other side of the table.

3. Align the left end of the wallpaper with the edge of the table and apply adhesive. The adhesive splashed on the table is immediately wiped off with a damp cloth. Some people like to extend the edge of the wallpaper about 1/4 inch away from the edge of the table to prevent the adhesive from being applied to the table. However, the protruding portion is left unattached and is difficult to apply.

4. Put the brush on the adhesive and scrape it on the rope at the mouth to scrape off too much adhesive.

5. Brush along the center of the wallpaper.

6. Then brush from the center to the sides in figure eight.

7. Check that the adhesive is evenly applied and that there is no missing brush, especially on the sides, then lift the left end of the wallpaper and fold the adhesive-coated part in half, taking care not to fold the crease. Pull the wallpaper to the left so that the adhesive-coated part is hung on the left side of the desk.

8. Apply the adhesive one sheet at a time until all are well coated.

9. The right half of the paper is also folded in half, so that both ends of the front and back are just touching, and you know which one is the top. When you cut the wallpaper, you can use the word "UP" on the back of the top or the top of the wallpaper when the adhesive is applied first. This way, the folded back must be facing up.

10. If adhesive is applied to the table or cut wallpaper, wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth.

11. Adhesive-coated wallpaper should be placed on the packaging for a period of time to absorb the moisture in the adhesive. Thin wallpapers and vinyl wallpapers can usually be attached to the wall immediately after the adhesive is applied. Thicker wallpapers usually take 10 to 15 minutes. If you do not put enough time, it will continue to swell or bubble after it is attached to the wall.

12. When the first wallpaper is placed to absorb moisture, other wallpapers may be coated with adhesive. Each wallpaper should absorb the same time, otherwise the pattern is difficult to align.

The first wallpaper should be pasted from the corner of the main window. In this way, shadows will not appear on the edge of the wallpaper.

First wallpaper

To start wallpapering, start with the adjoining wall of the main window and stick it from the light to the dark. In this way, even if there are seams on the edges of the wallpaper, there will be no shadows and the overlap will not be obvious. If there are more than one wall of windows, the largest window should be used as the primary light source.

Follow the steps below to post clockwise from the right side of the wall with the main light window. Left-handers can start from the left.

1. Use a pencil to make a mark at 19 inches from the top corner of the wall so that the wallpaper has enough width to transfer from the wall to the walled window.

2. Hang a vertical line along the wall at the mark and draw a marker along the plumb line with a pencil. Check that the distance between the marking line and the corner is the same. If the corner is not straight, and the distance is greater than 19 inches in some places, the wallpaper will not have enough width to be attached to the adjoining wall. Move the vertical line closer to the corner and redraw the marking line.

3. Take the adhesive-coated wallpaper to the edge of the wall, gently open the upper folded part, and hold both sides by hand. Don't let the lower half of the wallpaper fall suddenly so that it won't break or stretch and it won't align with other wallpapers.

4. Lift the top right corner of the wallpaper and align the right side of the wallpaper with the mark line.

Note: The top of the wallpaper requires about 2 inches or 50 mm of headroom for trimming.

5. When aligning the right half of the wallpaper with the marking line, do not allow the left half of the edge to touch the wall.

6. After aligning the position on the right side of the wallpaper, wipe the wallpaper in the upper left corner with your hand or brush, and attach the upper left corner to the wall.

7. Use a brush to brush the top half away from the center of the wallpaper. The right side of the wallpaper must be aligned with the marking line.

8. Uncover the bottom half of the wallpaper. First brush down the central part, then brush all the bubbles on both sides in a figure eight shape, then tap the edge of the paper with the brush tip or cloth.

9. After the wallpaper is affixed, use the back of the scissors to draw a clear crease along the edge of the skirting board.

10. Lift the bottom of the wallpaper gently, cut it along the creases, then place it back and brush it flat. The trimming procedure at the top of the wallpaper is the same.

Paste the rest of the wallpaper

1. Follow the procedure for the first wallpaper, and place the second wallpaper on the right side of the first one, without having to hang the plumb line. But the upper left edge should be aligned with the edge of the attached wallpaper. Wipe the upper right corner with your hand and stick the upper part of the wallpaper to the wall.

2. Brush the wallpaper with a brush and level the wallpaper from the center to the surroundings.

3. Uncover the folded part of the lower part of the wallpaper, align the edge with the edge of the wallpaper, and brush it evenly. Correct the top and bottom of the wallpaper as described above.

4. After two or three sheets are attached, the seams are lightly rolled with the pressure roller, but the relief wallpaper cannot be rolled.
