In northeastern China, long winter hours and low temperatures cause extreme adverse weather effects on chemical production. In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of winter production, Siping Haohua aims to ensure the safety of winter production with the goal of “preventing work-related injuries, preventing fires, preventing explosions, freezing, poisoning, and preventing traffic accidents”.

Equipment overhaul to ensure safe operation. On the eve of the eleventh, before the temperature has yet to turn cold, the company used five days to carry out major repairs on double 50,000 tons and double 200,000 tons, as well as public systems. A total of 497 maintenance projects were completed, which solved bottlenecks affecting production and ensured the winter season. Production runs steadily and continuously. The outdoor equipment and pipelines are protected against cold and thermal insulation to prevent low temperatures in winter and freezing of equipment and pipelines. Safety valves, pressure gauges and pressure relief valves ensure flexibility and ease of use. Thoroughly clean up outdoor scenes to remove weeds and dead trees and prevent fires.

Strengthen the drills to prevent accidents. In conjunction with the actual situation, all units formulated and implemented plans to respond to severe weather such as wind, fog, ice and snow. We will strengthen the management of hazardous chemicals and focus on the storage of hazardous and chemical storage stores to ensure the safe storage and transportation of hazardous chemicals. Hidden troubles were investigated and rectified. Each unit carried out targeted safety inspections and focused on checking whether pressure vessels, safety accessories, electrical and instrumentation equipment were intact and effective, and whether safety measures for major hazard sources and key positions were implemented and the safety facilities were operating. All kinds of problems and hidden troubles must be dealt with. Strengthen the number of indoor space gas analysis, due to closed doors and windows, resulting in poor gas flow, vinyl chloride compression, acetylene station, electrolysis plant and other two hours to conduct an analysis. In rainy and snowy weather, it is timely to clear roads, take snow from ladders, and ensure personal safety.

Increase the raw materials for winter storage and prevent the production of "shortage of food." Beginning in September, Siping Haohua has already started work on winter storage, increasing the tilt of procurement funds and organizing the production of necessary raw materials, raw coal, raw salt, and calcium carbide into the factory, so that sufficient inventory is available. In the event of extreme weather, it will not be affected by raw material transport and can be supplied in a timely manner.
