Two ways to repaint old furniture

If the old furniture is repainted, it is necessary to remove the residual paint marks on the old furniture. It is more difficult to get rid of the paint marks by the general method, thus affecting the effect of repainting. The following two methods of stripping the old furniture are introduced:

First, use the paint remover to directly brush the paint on the old furniture, and brush it three times in a row. The old paint will wrinkle automatically. After scraping off the old paint, clean it with a brush and rub the hot water. There are residual lacquer pieces in the eyes of the wood. You can use a cloth to rub a little bit of alcohol repeatedly until the old paint is completely peeled off. This method of peeling paint has no corrosive effect on the wood.

The second is to use the boiling water to soak the alkali. When the water is hot, use a brush to apply to the paint surface of the old furniture. After a few times of application, the old paint will soon wrinkle, scrape off with the wooden board, and then scrub again with water. In order to reduce the damaging effect of lye on wood tissue, the new paint is firmly attached. This stripping method is economical and practical, but the alkali is highly corrosive, and it should not be too rich when used with alkaline water.

After the old furniture is stripped, washed and dried, it is smoothed with wood sandpaper, and then the new paint is painted. The furniture can be as old as new.
