If it is exposed to an environment that is too humid or too dry for a long time, it will have an adverse effect on the furniture. Wooden furniture will expand and deform after being damp, and will cause loose structure after shrinking. The paint film on the surface of wooden furniture will fade yellow and fade under the sun exposure, accelerating the cracking of the paint skin. Therefore, wooden furniture should not be placed on the balcony. Avoid strong direct sunlight, keep away from the air conditioning vents, and turn on the air conditioner to cool and dehumidify the room. Apply a layer of wax to the drawer, the edge of the sliding door and the bottom slide to prevent it from opening and closing due to expansion. Put some hygienic balls in a damp place to prevent the insects from biting.

Fabric sofa

Strong sunshine can easily lead to fading of the sofa and accelerate the aging of fabric furniture. Cloth sofas are best placed where they can avoid the sun, or use the gauze at noon to block the sun. Always use a vacuum cleaner or brush to remove dust from the sofa. In wet weather, it is best to use a sofa pad that is absorbent or waterproof and is often cleaned.

Leather sofa

Sunlight can cause the leather sofa to fade, become stale and lose its luster. Because the air is humid, the body sweats a lot, the small holes of the leather will absorb sweat and moisture, sitting on it feels sticky, the leather will also produce odor, and eventually the sofa will be deformed due to the lack of ductility of the leather. Wipe the sofa with a rag and use special cleaning products and care products to avoid splitting of the leather. It is best to keep the room dry, so as not to be rainy in the seasons and the ground is damp, making the bottom of the sofa moldy.

Rattan furniture

Although rattan furniture is not afraid of moisture, in the hot weather, the rattan cracks are prone to mold and mold, and should be cleaned and ventilated frequently, and the part that is in contact with the ground should be avoided. Rattan furniture can be easily cracked in hot and dry places. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent the rattan from fading and drying out. Iron furniture

Iron furniture has been exposed to the sun for a long time, which will cause the surface paint film to fade and dry and peel off, and the metal is oxidized and deteriorated. If you encounter strong sunlight and cannot remove the furniture, you can use the curtain to cover it. Moisture can cause corrosion of metal, acid and alkali also have corrosive effect on metal. It can often be scrubbed with tarpaulin and mild detergent. Avoid contact with vinegar, soapy water, soda or other acid and alkali substances.

There are three points to note about the maintenance of furniture in summer:

1. First of all, whether it is solid wood furniture, panel furniture, soft furniture or leather sofas, it should be avoided as much as possible. The outdoor sunlight should be exposed to the whole or part of the furniture for a long time. It is best placed in a place where it can avoid the sun coming in, or Separate direct sunlight with translucent tulle curtains. In this way, it does not affect indoor lighting, but also protects indoor furniture. In addition, the furniture should be kept away from heat sources or air conditioning vents to avoid damage or premature aging of the furniture due to large temperature differences.

2. Secondly, after talking about the temperature, it is the problem of humidity. In the summer, it is often wet to see the wall or the floor is damp, so you can keep the wall of the furniture at a gap of 0.5-1 cm from the wall to minimize the risk of moisture. If there is a water mist on the surface of the furniture, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the water mist that condenses on it while keeping the room ventilated. If the ventilation is not ideal, you can also use charcoal or desiccant to absorb the moisture in the room. Especially for leather furniture and furniture metal parts, once there is moisture, it must be dealt with immediately.

Panel furniture is relatively easy to clean, and for solid wood furniture and leather furniture, care must be taken. Solid wood furniture is best to be waxed regularly, once every three months, before cleaning, do a good job. For leather sofas, wipe with a damp rag. Large condensed stains can be cleaned with a foam cleaner. It is important to note that the pores of the leather absorb sweat.
