The role and use of residue pump

The role of the residue pump is to send the mixture of ash and water discharged from the boiler of the power plant to the ash yard. Residual pump working medium is a mixture of water and ash, the metal wear and corrosion are very serious. After the ash is pressurized by the impeller, it will leak out of the shaft seal or accumulate in the dynamic and static gaps of the shaft seal, resulting in the wear and corrosion there. In order to prevent this from happening, the residual pump needs to be filled with shaft sealing water. From the use of residue pump, it belongs to the slurry pump, commonly used models: Z type, ZGB type, ZJ type. Slag pump delivery of ash must be crushed slag machine below 25mm, due to frequent maintenance or replacement of worn parts, it must be equipped with a pump. Shaft seal water pump pressure is higher than the pressure of ash into the shaft seal at the shaft seal water can flow into the pump to prevent ash overflow from the shaft seal at the shaft and the shaft seal will not wear and corrosion. Shaft seal water should also be introduced into the pump between the pump shell and internal armor to prevent the ash into the gap between the inner and the shell. The function of the residue pump is to step up the mixture of ash particles and water and send it to the ash yard through the pressure delivery pipe. Residual oil pump shaft seal water leakage is mainly due to improper operation of the shaft seal water or insufficient water pressure, as well as the sudden closure of the shaft seal caused by water. Residue pumps often exhibit under-output and unstable operation due to 1) wear of impeller and sheath, 2) vibration of equipment, 3) leakage of shaft seal.
