Taiwan actively plans to promote functional textile certification mark

The Taiwan Economic and Technological Development Association said that in recent years, the government has been assisting traditional industrial upgrading programs, and academics, research institutes and manufacturers are actively investing in research and development. In addition, Taiwan has ample supply of chemical fiber raw materials, innovative weaving and dyeing and finishing technologies, and functional textiles. The industrial value chain and clustering advantages have been gradually established.
South Asia Plastics, Taiwan Chemical Fiber, Fushun Xingye, Taiwan Plastics Lilang Business, Far East Textile and other companies have developed and produced a large number of high-quality functional fabric products.
Taiwan Economic Development Association also said that in order to strengthen marketing and promotion, Taiwan Textiles Extension, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, actively planned to promote the Taiwan Functional Textiles certification mark business, and has already moved to Taiwan, the United States, the European Union, Japan, The mainland and other regions have completed registration and hope to provide a credible independent verification agency in the market.
In addition to assisting the industry in marketing and expanding the market, it can also provide quality identification standards for domestic and foreign buyers and consumers. At present, a total of 18 verification standards have been set, and more than 400 verifiers have passed the verification. The effect has been highly valued and affirmed by the industry.
The Taiwan Economic and Technological Development Association pointed out that with the changes in the world fashion trend and the rise of environmental protection issues, functional textiles will become more and more important. Taiwan has gradually established a functional textile industry value chain and a clustered textile industry. In fact, it is a good time to win the market and expand the territory.
The Economic Development Association further pointed out that in 2010 Taiwan's textile industry output value was NT$482.322 billion, a 28.7% increase from the 2009 output value of 374.796 billion yuan. The Ministry of Economic Affairs will continue to promote relevant measures and hopes to reach the goal of 580 billion yuan in the total output value of the textile industry in 2015.
