Hisense will launch next-generation TV technology in 2015
According to reports, the domestic brand Hisense will release a new generation of TV technology in 2015. Terry Wang, general manager of Hisense Middle East, said that Hisense has been investing heavily in research and development in recent years, and 2015 will be the time to bear fruit.
Hisense's self-developed 100-inch laser cinema TV, placed in a space less than 0.5 meters from the wall, can project a display of more than 100 inches. This TV has full HD resolution and saves about 60% of the power compared to the same size LCD TV. The price is about 20,000 US dollars (about 122,000 yuan), the price is lower than the same size LCD TV, and is expected to be released in the United Arab Emirates in the second half of 2015. Terry Wang said that the laser TV has a built-in VIDAA operating system and will not feel eye fatigue for hours.
Although Hisense is a bit late in the 4K curved TV field, Terry Wang asserts that Hisense TV has more value-added features and a price advantage over the same type of TV on the market.
The head of the Middle East also said that Hisense has a long-term business strategy. In the past ten years, Chinese brands that competed in the same period have gradually withdrawn from the market and disappeared. In the past three years, Hisense’s market share has increased and explored one opportunity after another.
According to data released by market research firm GfK, in the fourth quarter, Hisense ranked fourth in terms of sales in the UAE, behind Samsung, LG and Sony. It is reported that Hisense's goal is to become the first Chinese green brand in the next three years.
