Our factory processes the 195 diesel engine camshaft on the C6132 common lathe (Fig. 1). The axial dimension is a combination of 7 knives on the lathe to mark the forging blank, and then grooving, due to the combination of the knives The cutting allowance of each blade is uneven, the cutting edge is easy to be damaged, and the row of knives has to be re-arranged and sharpened. The processing is very inconvenient, often due to the wear of the blade.
